aero-naut lilienthal 31 balsa free flight model glider kit

aero-naut Lilienthal 31 balsa model glider kit. An ideal young first time model builders kit. The wingspan is 1140 mm x length 740 mm and weight 200 gram. This is a free flight model not suitable for RC conversion. The Lilienthal 31 is of all wood construction and is covered in Japanese tissue. The wing features  a flat bottomed airfoil to eliminate any problems in construction. All the balsa, obechi and plywood parts are accurately laser cut. The leading and trailing edges are machined in slotted style to accept and support the ribs at the correct position. The new Lilienthal 31 is a joint effort for aero-naut with DMFV ( German flyers model association) for youth work in model clubs and schools in mind, so it makes the perfect model for the young first time builder with simple, rapid construction, a great project for any child or anyone new to building in wood, and covering in tissue.
